The Branch meets on the second Thursday of each month February to NovemberMeeting Times
Following light refreshments, the meetings start at 6:00 pm - and finish around 7:30.
Background to the Sydney Metro Evening Branch
Sydney Metro Evening Branch started in July 2000 meeting on the second Thursday of each month. We find Thursdays best as late night shopping means lots of activity and public transport.
We pass on all Diocesan information, details of coming events, Conferences, Seminars, Adult Education programmes etc, and receive reports on those attended. All members take advantage of our extensive book, video and cassette Library.
We discuss social justice problems and consider actions we can take in regard to offensive advertising or T.V. programmes, changes to laws affecting moral issues, etc.
Not all members can attend every meeting as these are busy women who work as well as having home responsibilities.
We have a variety of ages, occupations, backgrounds and cultures with the common denominator being each member's great love of Jesus Christ and the Church.
These are faith filled women, who support each other as they work in a world that in many ways has drifted away from God.
This is an opportunity for women to learn and share their ideas and experiences in a friendly social atmosphere.
Come and join us - help make a difference as we discuss what it means to be a Catholic woman in today's world.
