It was a pleasure and an honour to be present with members.
Appreciation Certificates were given from Sydney Archdiocese to the Founding President and Vice President - Mrs Carmel Stewart and Mrs Anne MacNally. These ladies have worked tirelessly over the years showing great charity and leadership.
During their 30 years members have given themselves wholeheartedly to many causes raising over $40,000 - a wonderful financial effort which has helped many.

Merle Smith the current President spoke to the congregation toward the end of Mass and gave a short history of Catholic Women's League in Bondi and in the wider community, across our archdiocese, state, country and internationally. Merle invited members, friends and parishioners to Morning Tea.
It was a disappointment that their parish priest was sick and unable to join with them for this special occasion, but a friendly Franciscan priest celebrated the Mass and presented the Certificates.

Morning Tea was welcomed as it was a fresh and windy morning. Cakes and slices were in abundance and it was good to be able to share with members, visitors and friends. Thank you and Congratulations to all the members of CWL Bondi Branch for their wonderful work over so many fruitful years.
