CWL and World Youth Day
In the lead-up to this year's World Youth Day festival, more than 640 individual pieces of linen are being cut, embroidered, ironed and packed before being sent out to more than 50 sites across NSW, where they will be used in liturgical celebrations during the five-day event.
Much of the work has been undertaken by the members of the Catholic Women's League.
League members are also knitting scarves and beanies for international pilgrims who may be unprepared for the July temperatures in Sydney.
