CWLA - NSW Inc.
Installation of State Executive

Report from: Denise McCaffrey

Quite a few ladies from Sydney Archdiocese attended the Installation Mass of our new State Executive. A very hot day in the town of Bowral at St Thomas Aquinas Church. A very meaningful Mass was celebrated, prayers and certain words really touched you. It was a powerful symbol of unity and strength of Catholic Women's League and it felt good to be there.

Bishop Peter Ingham was the main celebrant along with the outgoing chaplain Fr Martin Maunsell and the new State Chaplain Father Sean Cullen. The church is modern, open and welcoming as were the members and locals of Bowral. The outgoing executive and portfolio members were recognised and thanked for their vision and work in steering the State body of CWLA-NSW Inc. Our new State executive and portfolio members were blessed and welcomed by Bishop Peter and congratulated for taking on the responsibility of their positions.

Bishop Peter's words were positive, fun and uplifting and affirming for our executive and for all members of Catholic Women's League. The music and singing were beautiful and once again Evelyn Gardiner guided a very special celebration.

Afterwards we moved across to the Hall for a bountiful lunch. There was a big crowd and once settled and seated, with wine and juice and wonderful cold water, news was exchanged and congratulations and joy to be in this celebration. There were a few short words and our State President Catherine gave a great speech.
Welcome and Thank You for your leadership Catherine and your team.

To all the members and workers at Bowral Branch our sincere thanks for your magnificent welcome and hospitality.
