Catholic Women's League Sydney

Caritas Luncheon

The Caritas Luncheon was held at Parliament House on Monday 19 February. This is a time to catch up with friends, a wonderful opportunity to say hello, whilst showing our strong support for Caritas Australia in the great work that they do.

Mrs Patricia Burke welcomed us and spoke of the support of parishes and schools across the dioceses of metropolitan Sydney. Caritas is grateful and appreciative of the assistance to their work - helping people to become self sufficient through education.

Bishop Peter Regmigius, Chairman Caritas India, gave a most interesting and moving talk with first hand experience and stories that bring to life the magnificent work of Caritas. Caritas Australia need prayers and dollars to continue and strengthen their work.

Mr Jack de Groot, CEO Caritas Australia gave an update of all that Caritas is doing. In so many ways and in so many areas they are assisting the growth of people in need. They are in dialogue with people, giving respect and understanding.
