FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION

On August 15, 2007 St Mary's Cathedral was where Catholic Women's League Sydney members were joined by members of State, Wollongong, Parramatta and Broken Bay to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption.
Mass was said by Sydney Chaplain Father Ray Farrell and we also remembered that it was 30 years since the formation of the Marian Group. Many Marian Group members also joined with us at Mass. As we all joined Trude Aspeling in the singing, the beauty and reverence of the Cathedral made the day special.
Afterwards, 70 members joined together for lunch at the Swissotel with lots of catching up with old friends and new.
NATIONAL COUNCIL WOMEN LUNCHEON

Catholic Women's League, Archdiocese of Sydney had reason to be proud on Monday August 13, 2007 when a group attended the 11th Foundation Day Luncheon of the National Council of Women NSW Inc.
Sydney had nominated Denise McCaffery, Sydney CWL Treasurer for a NCW NSW Award 2007.
Although Denise did not win on the day - she was a winner to us all as we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and toasted her health at Parliament House.
Denise was joined on the day by her daughter Louise, friends and fellow CWL Sydney and State members.
Congratulations Denise!
